GILDING · RESTORATION · SINCE 2003
Restoration and decoration of statues, walls, ceilings and furniture with genuine gold leaf and gold ribbon — for temples and churches, monuments, public buildings and private clients, wherever in the world we are called.
Our craft
More than twenty temples, across three continents, have trusted us with their gold.
We restore the angel Moroni with a five-year guarantee — because we know exactly what we apply.
We work only with Giusto Manetti gold, approved by the Church. No substitutes, no shortcuts.
Every leaf of gold has a traceable origin: certified purity, conflict-free provenance.
Every member of our team holds a current temple recommend. We work where few are permitted to enter.
WHAT WE DO
Gilding with gold leaf and precious metals — silver, platinum, palladium, bronze, copper, aluminium and more. We work for temples and churches of many faiths, cathedrals and chapels, monuments, public and government buildings, palaces, hotels and private clients.
PROOF OF THE CRAFT
Every project is unique — temples, churches, monuments. Here are some of the works entrusted to us.

OUR STORY
Founder José Merces served the temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints under construction and renovation across Brazil — Recife, Porto Alegre, Campinas, Curitiba and the renovation of the São Paulo temple. Working alongside American gilding specialists, he mastered the art of gold leaf and decorative painting.
In 2003 he was certified as a qualified professional by the Temple Construction Department in Brazil (DCT). In 2010, MercesArtGolden was formally incorporated. Today we work across the Americas, Europe and Asia, with more than 20 temples served.
Over time we have brought the same standards to other churches and chapels, to monuments, to public and government buildings and to private clients. What we learned in the temples — rigour, respect for the space and the quality of the materials — goes into every project.
All our team members hold a current temple recommend.

MercesArtGolden is an official distributor of Giusto Manetti Battiloro, the Florentine house that has been beating gold since 1600. We supply the full range: gold, silver, platinum and palladium leaf, imitation leaf, boles and gesso, sizes and adhesives, protective varnishes, brushes and tools.
Manetti offers exclusively products of the highest quality, processed and marketed in full compliance with the “Confident Purchase” policy — safe, guaranteed, tracked and certified. The gold is acquired only through banking institutions that guarantee its purity and its origin from areas free of conflict and human-rights violations.
